KakaoTalk Gift Service Half-Day 'Down' Incident... "Restored" (Comprehensive)

[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] On the 28th, an error occurred in KakaoTalk Gift, causing inconvenience to users. The gift service was restored to normal around 5 PM that day.

According to Kakao Commerce, from 10:30 AM to 11:50 AM, about 1 hour and 20 minutes, there was a malfunction in the gift function, such as loading delays.

In response, Kakao Commerce conducted an emergency inspection from 11 AM to noon and later announced that the service was restored.

However, from around 3 PM, some users still experienced errors. The speed became noticeably slow, or only a white screen appeared, causing the service to freeze continuously.

A Kakao Commerce official said, "There were some unstable issues related to loading delays, so we took measures," and added, "It was restored around 4:45 PM." Kakao Commerce explained the cause of this malfunction as a "temporary server error."

Meanwhile, KakaoTalk has been experiencing continuous large and small malfunctions. Earlier, on the 16th, image sending and receiving errors lasted for about 1 hour and 40 minutes, causing difficulties for users.
