[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] On the 28th, Samsung Electro-Mechanics stated in its Q2 earnings conference call that "Starting from the third quarter, the supply of high-spec OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) modules for new foldable phones from strategic clients has begun in earnest, and the adoption of high-spec cameras such as high-resolution OIS and folded zoom is expanding even in budget smartphones." They added, "We will strive to secure earnings exceeding those of the same period last year in the second half."
