[Asia Economy Reporter Jihee Kim] Seoul National University Hospital announced on the 28th that Professor Sang-Yeon Lee was selected as the recipient of the 13th LG Chem Future Medical Scientist Award.
A total of 96 applicants competed in this contest, with 5 selected, resulting in a competition rate of about 20 to 1. The judging committee evaluated factors such as the number of papers and journal impact factor (IF).
Professor Lee was highly evaluated for publishing an impressive 35 papers while conducting research in various fields during his specialist training period. Currently serving as an assistant professor in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at Seoul National University Hospital, Professor Lee said, “I will continue to strive so that this award does not become a burden,” and added, “I will devote myself to the diagnosis and treatment of hereditary hearing loss.”
