Chosun Hotel & Resort Selected as 'Top Job Creator' for 2 Consecutive Years

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] Chosun Hotel & Resort announced on the 28th that it has been selected as a ‘2021 Korea Job Excellence Company’ for the second consecutive year, hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor. The Korea Job Excellence Company, now in its fourth year since its establishment in 2018, is a system that annually selects and rewards 100 companies that have significantly increased jobs and led improvements in job quality.

Chosun Hotel & Resort is the only company in the hotel industry to be selected as a Job Excellence Company for two consecutive years. Starting with the Grand Chosun Busan, which opened in October last year, it contributed to creating new jobs by opening a total of five business sites, including Four Points by Sheraton Chosun Seoul Myeongdong, Gravity Seoul Pangyo Autograph Collection, Grand Chosun Jeju, and Chosun Palace Seoul Gangnam Luxury Collection Hotel.

The total workforce of Chosun Hotel & Resort reached 2,007 as of the end of last year, a 44% increase compared to 2019. Notably, 77% of new hires over the past two years were young workers. Female workers account for 47% of the total workforce, and the proportion of women among new hires reaches 51%.
