Spoon Radio Selected as '2021 Korea's Top Job Creator Company'

Last Year's Employment Growth Rate 80%, This Year's Hiring Target Over 100 Employees

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Spoon Radio (CEO Choi Hyuk-jae), which operates the personal audio broadcasting platform 'Spoon,' announced on the 28th that it has been selected as a '2021 Korea Job Excellence Company' by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.

Since 2018, the Ministry of Employment and Labor has been discovering companies that have increased jobs and proactively improved job quality, selecting them annually as 'Korea Job Excellence Companies,' and providing various preferential benefits such as awarding certification plaques, tax credits, and policy fund support.

This year, the Ministry of Employment and Labor selected candidate companies based on employment growth performance, conducted on-site inspections by regional labor offices, consulted labor-management organizations, reviewed disqualification reasons, and selected excellent companies through a selection committee review.

Spoon Radio has long strived to create jobs and improve working conditions. Last year, its employment growth rate reached 80% compared to 2019, and this year it aims to hire more than 100 people.

In particular, Spoon Radio announced the 'Global Talent Development Program' this year, supporting all employees with ▲a global exchange work program ▲support for university and graduate school admission ▲unlimited support for work-related seminars ▲annual self-development expenses of 1.2 million KRW ▲foreign language education support of 200,000 KRW per month (400,000 KRW upon reimbursement) ▲unlimited book requests regardless of genre. Additionally, it operates welfare programs such as ▲interest-free loans up to 100 million KRW for jeonse and monthly rent deposits ▲refresh leave ▲flextime commuting system ▲remote work system ▲health checkups ▲breakfast and lunch support ▲various congratulatory and condolence supports ▲employee referral hiring reward system up to 4 million KRW.
