Request to Comply with Disinfection Guidelines at Service Consultation and Activation Sites

[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] Han Sang-hyuk, Chairman of the Korea Communications Commission, visited the SK Broadband Seongbuk Call Center on the 27th to check compliance with COVID-19 quarantine rules following the extension of social distancing to Level 4.

Chairman Han Sang-hyuk urged that, as demand for broadcasting and communication services increases due to the recent resurgence of COVID-19 and the extension of social distancing, quarantine guidelines be strictly followed at counseling and activation sites so that users can safely and conveniently use the services.

On this day, Chairman Han Sang-hyuk inspected the quarantine environment, including the work-from-home status of call center counselors, mask-wearing by counselors, installation of partitions between seats, disinfection, and ventilation. Through a non-face-to-face video conference with call center counselors, he listened to difficulties in counseling work amid the COVID-19 situation and conveyed encouragement and gratitude for compliance with quarantine rules.

Chairman Han Sang-hyuk said, “In a situation where the spread of COVID-19 is not easing, all citizens are sharing the pain and overcoming the crisis with one heart,” and requested, “Especially at frontline sites where contact with the public occurs, please make efforts to protect the health and safety of the people through thorough compliance with quarantine rules.”

Considering the recent extension of social distancing Level 4 due to the spread of COVID-19, the Korea Communications Commission plans to continuously monitor the quarantine management situation in broadcasting and communication sites.
