On the 27th, the Geumcheon Police Station in Seoul announced that three employees of Geumcheon District Office have been booked and are under investigation for charges of sexual assault.
According to the police, they are accused of sexually harassing a female employee working at the same district office. The victim filed a police complaint on the 1st against two of them for sexual assault.
During the investigation of the complainant, it was revealed that one more person was present at the scene besides these individuals, and the police decided that it was necessary to investigate the additional person, leading to further booking.
Geumcheon District Office suspended the employees involved in two rounds on the 5th and 20th.
A police official stated, "The complainant's investigation has been completed, but the accused have not yet been questioned," adding, "We are verifying the exact facts."
A Geumcheon District Office official explained, "The three employees have been excluded from their duties," and added, "We cannot disclose detailed information as it concerns personal matters."
