[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] Tropical nights have appeared for seven consecutive days in Seoul and for ten consecutive days in Incheon.

As of the 26th, the Korea Meteorological Administration reported that tropical nights continued for 7 days in Seoul, 10 days in Incheon, 9 days in Jeju, and 8 days in Busan.

The heat accumulated during the day remains at night, causing tropical nights to persist in major cities such as Seoul, some coastal areas, and Jeju Island.

The number of days with tropical nights recorded this year are 12 days in Seoul, 14 days in Incheon, 13 days in Busan, 10 days in Cheongju, 11 days in Mokpo, 12 days in Yeosu, and 20 days in Jeju.

The heatwave that started on the 20th is expected to continue until early next month. The daytime high temperatures remain around 35 degrees Celsius, and many places continue to experience tropical nights.

Rain is expected nationwide on the 31st, and in Gangwon Yeongdong on August 2nd and 3rd. On the 31st, rain will fall nationwide (except for Gyeongnam and Gangwon Yeongdong), and on August 1st, the sky will be mostly cloudy nationwide. On August 2nd and 3rd, rain is expected in Gangwon Yeongdong due to the easterly winds.

The Korea Meteorological Administration urged, "Due to the high variability in precipitation depending on the movement and intensity changes of Typhoon No. 6 'In-fa' and Typhoon No. 8 'Nepartak' during the forecast period, please refer to the upcoming weather information announcements."
