Yeonggwang Sarang Gift Certificates to be Sold at 10% Discount Starting Next Month

[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] Jeollanam-do Yeonggwang-gun (Governor Kim Junsung) announced on the 27th that it will sell Yeonggwang Love Gift Certificates at a 10% discount, which is an additional 5% discount on top of the existing 5% discount, ahead of the Chuseok holiday to revitalize the local economy.

This special discount period is from the month before the Chuseok holiday and the month including Chuseok, from the 1st of next month to September 30th.

For paper-type gift certificates (Yeonggwang Love Gift Certificates), individuals can purchase up to 500,000 KRW per month at 32 financial institutions including local agricultural, livestock, credit unions, and Saemaeul Geumgo branches with an ID and cash, and can enjoy a maximum discount benefit of 50,000 KRW per month during the period.

For card-type gift certificates (Yeonggwang Love Card), after installing the integrated local currency app ‘Geuligo’ from the mobile phone app store and issuing a card, users can charge it and receive up to 50,000 KRW in incentives within a monthly limit of 500,000 KRW.

Separately from this holiday special discount, the county provides a year-round 10% special incentive only for the Yeonggwang Love Card, making every effort to revitalize the local alley markets that have been depressed due to the spread of COVID-19.

A county official said, “Ahead of the Chuseok holiday, we ask for the cooperation of residents, institutions, and organizations to use local gift certificates to receive discount benefits and help the local economy, which has been struggling due to COVID-19.”
