[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] President Moon Jae-in sent a congratulatory message on the 27th to the men's archery team members Oh Jin-hyek, Kim Woo-jin, Kim Je-deok, who won the gold medal, and judo athlete An Chang-rim, saying "We cheer together with the people."


President Moon said to Oh Jin-hyek, "I wholeheartedly applaud the valuable result achieved in your challenge after 9 years, following the London Olympics, overcoming your shoulder injury," and encouraged him by saying, "Fighting, dad of Yuchan and Seo-ah (Oh’s children)."


To Kim Woo-jin, he said, "You have engraved the three syllables Kim Woo-jin in the history of archery. Now you have become 'the athlete who comes to mind when thinking of archery,'" and added, "I hope you achieve good results in the individual event as well."


To Kim Je-deok, he congratulated him, saying, "You have already achieved the feat of winning two gold medals on your first Olympic stage," and praised him, saying, "The last arrow that led to victory in the semifinal battle will remain in the hearts of the people for a long time."


To An Chang-rim, who won the bronze medal in judo (men's 73kg category), he said, "An’s performance has become a source of pride not only for the Korean residents in Japan but for all 50 million people of the Republic of Korea," and added, "We will remember An’s fighting spirit for the motherland."
