Unable to Spur in the Final 50m Section
Hwang Sun-woo (18, Seoul Physical Education High School) finished 7th in the men's 200m freestyle swimming event at his first-ever Olympic final. On the morning of the 27th, at the Tokyo Aquatics Centre in Japan, during the men's 200m freestyle final at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, he touched the pad seventh out of eight swimmers with a time of 1:45.26. He maintained the lead up to the 150m mark but was unable to sprint in the final 50m segment. Ultimately, he was overtaken by other competitors and failed to win a medal.
