[Asia Economy Reporter Seulgina Jo] A rendering image of a dedicated case that can store Samsung Electronics' new foldable smartphone 'Galaxy Z Fold3' together with the S Pen has been leaked.
On the 26th (local time), IT specialized media 91Mobiles released a rendering image of the S Pen case for the Galaxy Z Fold and reported, "It confirms that the Galaxy Z Fold3 supports the S Pen and that Samsung Electronics will release an official dedicated S Pen case."
According to the released image, the design of the dedicated S Pen case for the Galaxy Z Fold3 is very similar to the typical book-shaped cases of other smartphones. The holder for the S Pen is located on the side of the smartphone in a position that can protect the hinge. It is evaluated that users can easily take out and put back the S Pen. However, this has the effect of making the smartphone look larger.
The media added that the S Pen case for the Galaxy Z Fold3 is expected to be made of leather and synthetic leather. Although all the cases shown in the image released that day are black, there is a high possibility that cases in other colors will also be released.
The Galaxy Z Fold3, which will be unveiled at the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event on the 11th of next month, is expected to be the first Samsung foldable to support the S Pen. Since there is no suitable slot inside the foldable smartphone to store the S Pen, it is interpreted that a dedicated case will be released separately.
On the previous day, mobile expert and IT tipster Ishan Agarwal stated on his Twitter, "The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 has an S Pen Fold Edition," and "a 'Note Pack' case that can be stored together with the smartphone will also be released." He mentioned that typical silicone, leather, and aramid back cases will be available.
