19 New COVID-19 Cases Over the Weekend, Emergency Movement Halt Implemented for One Week Starting the 26th

According to Yeosu City on the 26th, "19 new confirmed cases occurred over the weekend of the 24th and 25th, increasing the total number of confirmed cases in the region to 358, including 27 overseas entrants."
Of the total 358 confirmed cases, 137 have been reported since July, raising concerns about a large-scale spread amid the peak vacation season.
Accordingly, Yeosu City raised social distancing to level 3 starting from the 22nd and implemented an emergency movement halt from the 26th to August 1st for one week.
During this period, the city decided to suspend the operation of daytime Romantic Pocha, close beaches after 6 p.m., and halt public facilities operated by the city.
Additionally, from 0:00 on the 24th to 24:00 on the 28th, an administrative order will be enforced to limit the boarding capacity of fishing boats carrying five or more people to within 70%.
