[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] The Mokpo Maritime Police Station (Chief Im Jae-su) Heuksan Substation recently conducted a cleanup activity in cooperation with related organizations at the coastal areas of Yeri Port and Jinri Port in Heuksan-myeon, Sinan-gun, strictly adhering to COVID-19 prevention guidelines to prevent marine pollution and protect fishery resources. Approximately 1.5 tons of abandoned fishing nets and garbage were collected within the harbor.

The Mokpo Maritime Police will continue ongoing coastal cleanup activities along with a marine safety campaign promoting the prohibition of drunk navigation and the wearing of life jackets.
