Mercedes-Benz Social Contribution Committee, Exhibition of Award-Winning Works from the Children's Traffic Safety Campaign

The Mercedes-Benz Social Contribution Committee announced on the 30th that it will hold an exhibition of award-winning works from the children's traffic safety campaign, the "5th Mercedes-Benz Mobile Kids Play the Safety Drawing Contest," starting at the end of this month.

Mercedes-Benz Mobile Kids Play the Safety is a child-tailored traffic safety campaign by the Mercedes-Benz Social Contribution Committee that helps children learn and practice traffic safety through various experiences. Since 2017 until April of this year, about 4,000 children have participated in a total of five drawing contests.

To this end, the Mercedes-Benz Social Contribution Committee has been conducting the campaign since 2018 in partnership with the Seoul Metropolitan Government, and in addition to the drawing contest, it is raising awareness of children's traffic safety through various traffic safety campaigns.

The 5th Mercedes-Benz Mobile Kids Play the Safety Drawing Contest was held under the theme "Let's draw children's traffic safety that I, my friends, and my family must protect together." The contest was open for about a month, and after fair judging by professional judges, winners were finally selected, including the Seoul Metropolitan Mayor's Award (20 people), Mercedes-Benz Social Contribution Committee Award (20 people), and Encouragement Award (60 people).

The award-winning works will be exhibited on a rotating basis at more than 40 Mercedes-Benz showrooms and service centers nationwide starting at the end of this month. Mercedes-Benz will also produce lenticular commemorative postcards featuring traffic safety messages encouraging people to protect their loved ones, using the winning works from this contest, and will distribute them free of charge to visitors at showrooms and service centers.

A representative of the Mercedes-Benz Social Contribution Committee stated, "The Mercedes-Benz Social Contribution Committee is taking the lead in creating a safe traffic culture together with children, who are the hope for the future," adding, "We plan to continue to carry out a wide range of activities to raise awareness of children's traffic safety."

Meanwhile, last year, the Mercedes-Benz Social Contribution Committee opened an online education platform for Mercedes-Benz Mobile Kids Play the Safety to address educational disparities caused by COVID-19 and to expand children's traffic safety education. It has been leading the spread of children's traffic safety culture by providing various free non-face-to-face educational content. In February, it prepared a home board game that allows children to easily and enjoyably learn and practice traffic safety rules, distributing a total of 14,000 home board games to 7,000 applicants on a first-come, first-served basis.
