Online Applications Open Until August 13... Matching Domestic Startups with US Corporations
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangnam-gu District Office (Mayor Jeong Soon-gyun) is recruiting the 2nd batch of the ‘Startup Overseas Testbed Challenge in USA’ from the 26th to August 13th, aimed at discovering domestic startups to collaborate with major U.S. retail corporations such as Walmart and UPS.
To support startups struggling with overseas expansion due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, the district office signed a business agreement with the Korea International Trade Association and the Korea Venture Business Association, and prepared this program for the second time following last year.
Selected startups through screening will be matched with major U.S. corporations, and professional programs such as consulting will be provided to help achieve results.
The recruitment fields include eight innovative growth sectors: retail tech, smart home, logistics/distribution solutions, drone software, IoT technology, data analysis, fintech, and social commerce.
Meanwhile, among the startups that participated in the first overseas testbed last year, one company was matched with a major domestic distribution corporation and achieved results such as conducting a trial of an ‘Artificial Intelligence (AI) product recommendation’ service on an online mall.
Startups wishing to participate can apply from the 26th through the Gangnam-gu District Office website and the Trade Association’s InnoBranch platform.
