[Asia Economy Reporter Yoon Dong-joo] Woo Won-sik, a member of the Democratic Party and the chief campaign committee chairman for Lee Jae-myung, Governor of Gyeonggi Province, held a press conference on the 25th at the National Assembly Communication Office demanding that the Lee Nak-yeon campaign stop distorting facts.

Chief campaign chairman Woo addressed former Democratic Party leader Lee Nak-yeon, stating, "I request that campaign officials who damage the one-team spirit with fake news and promote regionalism be restrained."

Additionally, Woo harshly criticized, "While it is inevitable to verify each other during elections, negative campaigning not based on facts cannot be tolerated in the party primaries."
