[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Tae-min] 'Shooting Emperor' Jin Jong-oh (42, Seoul City Hall) failed to advance to the final round of the men's 10m air pistol event at the Tokyo Olympics.
On the 24th, Jin Jong-oh scored a total of 576 points in the men's 10m air pistol qualification round held at the Asaka Shooting Range in Tokyo, Japan, placing 15th. Only the top 8 athletes from the qualification round can advance to the final.
Kim Mose (Armed Forces Sports Unit), who also participated, scored 579 points, ranking 6th and successfully advancing to the final.
Jin Jong-oh won a silver medal in this event at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and a gold medal at the 2012 London Olympics.
At the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics, he passed the qualification round in 2nd place and advanced to the final but finished 5th overall, failing to win a medal. At this Tokyo Olympics, he showed a disappointing performance again by failing to advance to the final.
Kim Mose's final round, where he will challenge for his first Olympic medal, will begin at 3:30 PM.
