The 2020 Tokyo Olympics is suffering from COVID-19. Before the opening, 106 confirmed cases have already occurred. On the 23rd, the Tokyo Olympic Organizing Committee announced that nineteen participants in the event, including three athletes from overseas, were infected with COVID-19. This is the highest number of new daily confirmed cases since the infection situation was first compiled and announced on the 1st. Among those infected in the Olympic Village were one athlete and two event officials, totaling three people. With this, the cumulative number of confirmed cases related to this event has reached 106.
