Seo Jaeyoung NH Investment & Securities Executive Director Publishes 'AI First'
Highlights Promising Companies like 'Gopizza', 'Lunit', and 'Alchera'
[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] What industry are private bankers (PBs) managing assets in South Korea most interested in right now? It is the artificial intelligence (AI) industry. Among them, the top focus is on platform industries equipped with AI. On the 23rd, Jaeyoung Seo, Executive Director at NH Investment & Securities and a prominent figure as a private banker in the securities industry, announced the publication of 'AI First,' an analysis of AI platform companies. Seo evaluated that the era of AI has already begun and predicted that money will flow into platform companies equipped with AI.
Master Private Banker Jaeyoung Seo is famous in the securities industry as the 'salary king.' He is well known for making significant profits by investing in high-potential markets, and even asset owners with assets worth hundreds of billions entrust their investments to him. Seo evaluated that the era of AI has already begun and predicted that money will flow into platform companies equipped with AI.
In 'AI First,' he covered promising AI sectors and companies both domestically and internationally. The book deeply introduces 28 listed and unlisted companies at home and abroad, from globally renowned firms to domestic companies unfamiliar to readers. It is a practical book containing vivid stories from Seo’s direct visits and interviews, covering AI technology-related sectors such as big data analysis, deep learning, healthcare, semiconductors, food tech, and autonomous driving, while also forecasting the future industrial environment.
Seo judged that the AI era has accelerated further after COVID-19. He has been interested in AI platform companies for 4 to 5 years already, and in 2019, he published a book related to AI platform business titled 'Korea’s SNS Rich People.' The companies Seo mentioned in that book, such as 'Abley' and 'Millie’s Library,' are now leading the industry and thriving.
In his new book 'AI First,' he also presents promising companies. The representatives include 'GoPizza,' a leader in food tech; 'Lunit,' an AI-based cancer diagnosis program; and 'Alchera,' a video image recognition company. Seo stated, “This era is one where global capital is flowing into AI,” and added, “It is time to add the AI theme to investment portfolios.”
