[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyung-min] Our delegation will enter 103rd at the Tokyo Olympic opening ceremony held at the Tokyo Olympic Stadium (New National Stadium) in Japan at 8 p.m. on the 23rd.

The Korean Sport & Olympic Committee announced on the 22nd that according to the host country Japan's language order and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) standards, Korea will enter 103rd, roughly in the middle among all participating teams.

Greece, where the modern Olympics were first held, will enter first, followed by the Refugee Team. Then, teams will enter in order according to the Japanese language order, with the United States and France, the host countries of the 2028 and 2024 Summer Olympics, entering 203rd and 204th respectively.

The host country Japan will enter 205th.

The number of participants from our delegation in the opening ceremony has been further reduced from the initial 50 to the 30s due to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).

It is expected that there will be about 6 officials including team leader Jang In-hwa and about 20s athletes.

According to the IOC's gender equality policy, 205 participating teams including 204 National Olympic Committees (NOCs) and the Refugee Team will enter the stadium with male and female joint flag bearers at the front. Our delegation's joint flag bearers are Hwang Sun-woo (swimming) and Kim Yeon-koung (volleyball).
