Recent Expansion of Dawn Delivery Areas in Chungcheong and Southern Gyeonggi, etc. "Will Strengthen Service"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Yuri] Oasis Market announced on the 21st that it will expand its dawn delivery service from six days a week to seven days a week.
Oasis Market stated, "Starting this week, we are introducing a seven-day-a-week dawn delivery service," adding, "We have decided to expand the dawn delivery service, which was previously operated six days a week from Monday to Saturday, to seven days a week."
The seven-day dawn delivery service will be introduced to all existing dawn delivery areas, and the order cutoff times will remain the same as on other days. Depending on the region, if orders are completed by 11 PM on Saturday or by 9 PM in some areas, customers can receive their ordered products before 7 AM on Sunday morning. The same applies to other days.
Oasis Market plans to unify the order cutoff times, which currently vary by region, to 11 PM by the end of the year at the earliest, minimizing inconvenience in the dawn delivery service.
Meanwhile, Oasis Market is diversifying its dawn delivery service by recently expanding the service areas. Following the southern Gyeonggi areas such as Pyeongtaek, Anseong, and Osan in May, it recently included Asan and Cheonan in Chungnam and Cheongju in Chungbuk as dawn delivery areas.
After converting the delivery in the Chungcheong region, which was previously only available via parcel delivery, to allow dawn delivery service, the daily order volume in the Chungcheong area for Oasis Market has tripled.
Oasis Market expects that with the introduction of seven-day delivery this week, the number of orders by region as well as the total number of orders will further increase. In particular, amid the difficulty of going out due to the fourth wave of COVID-19, the expansion of fresh food dawn delivery service is expected to attract significant attention from consumers preparing home-cooked meals.
Additionally, Oasis Market plans to start dawn delivery services in Sejong and Daejeon within this year. Next year, it plans to expand the dawn delivery zones to major cities nationwide, excluding Jeju.
Junhyung Ahn, CEO of Oasis Market, said, "Following the recent expansion of delivery zones, the introduction of seven-day-a-week dawn delivery service is expected to further enhance the convenience for consumers who prefer online grocery shopping," adding, "We anticipate that the overall market share of Oasis Market in the dawn delivery sector will expand through the expansion and diversification of the dawn delivery service."
