[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] The People Power Party announced that they will launch the presidential candidate primary bus at the end of August. They also released a timetable to narrow down the candidates to eight through the first cut-off on September 15.

On the 20th, Seo Byung-soo, head of the People Power Party's presidential candidate primary preparation committee, met with reporters after a meeting and said, "We decided to accept primary candidate registrations at the end of August and cut off the candidates to eight by September 15."

Chairman Seo stated, "To raise the recognition of those registered as preliminary candidates, we will create various programs to provide them with many opportunities to increase their visibility," adding, "They will be able to express their political views through interviews with the party leader or one-on-one debates, promote themselves by creating card news about what they want to say, and visit party district committees to interact with party members."

Regarding the method of cutting off to eight candidates, Chairman Seo said, "It has not been decided yet," but added, "We are leaning toward reflecting public opinion polls targeting party members and the general public at a 50:50 ratio."

He also stated, "By the end of July, we will comprehensively discuss various matters and organize them one by one."
