[Wando=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Kyung-pil] Wando-eup, Wando-gun, Jeollanam-do (Eupjang Kim Hee-soo) announced on the 20th that they visited the filming team of the movie "Wolf Hunt," which is scheduled to be released in the first half of next year and is currently being filmed, on the 16th and provided steamed abalone and abalone porridge.


Amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, which has severely depressed the local economy, the filming team chose Wando as the filming location. From the 7th to the 18th, for 12 days, they used local restaurants, accommodations, and service companies, helping to revitalize the local economy, and the town expressed their gratitude for this.


In this consolation event, the Wando-eup Residents' Autonomy Committee (Chairman Kim Geun-soo) and the Wando-eup Saemaeul Women's Association (President Kim Jong-mi) joined forces to comfort the filming team who visited Wando during these difficult times. They divided their roles and conveyed the hearts of the Wando residents through Wando's specialty, abalone.


Chairman Kim Geun-soo and President Kim Jong-mi, who prepared 120 servings of late-night snacks that day, said, "We sweated a lot preparing the food in the hot weather, but we completely forgot our fatigue because we could volunteer for such a meaningful cause," and added, "We sincerely hope this movie will be a big hit by receiving the energy of Wando abalone, which is the best for restoring vitality in summer."


Eupjang Kim Hee-soo said, "At a time when local businesses are facing many difficulties due to COVID-19, I am grateful that the Wando-eup Residents' Autonomy Committee and the Saemaeul Women's Association took the lead in conveying Wando's generous hospitality," and added, "It seems that our eup is developing and brightening more because of these organizations that love Wando-eup."


Meanwhile, Director Kim Hong-seon, who is directing this movie, said, "During the filming period, I was impressed and moved by Wando's pristine natural scenery and generous hospitality," and shared his final thoughts on filming in Wando, saying, "I will definitely come back to Wando with a better work."
