[Featured Stock] Asiana Airlines Continues Weakness After Trading Resumption

[Asia Economy Reporter Song Hwajeong] Asiana Airlines, which resumed trading on the 16th, has been weak for two consecutive days since the trading resumed.

As of 9:45 a.m. on the 19th, Asiana Airlines was trading at 17,450 won, down 1,200 won (6.43%) from the previous day. Following a 2.86% decline on the first day of trading on the 16th, the stock continues to show weakness.

There is an opinion that it is necessary to approach Asiana Airlines from a mid- to long-term perspective. Bang Minjin, a researcher at Eugene Investment & Securities, said, "With more than two years remaining until the complete integration with Korean Air, meaningful passenger demand recovery is expected to become visible from the second half of next year, so there is a possibility that net losses will accumulate (capital reduction) for the time being, making it necessary to approach from a long-term perspective."
