The Goyang City health authorities announced on the day that "2 people were confirmed positive on the evening of the 15th, and as of 4 p.m. on the 16th, a total of 19 people, including 17, were diagnosed with COVID-19."

The causes of infection were contact with confirmed cases from other regions (6 people), family transmission (4 people), contact with acquaintances (4 people), and 5 others are under epidemiological investigation.

By residence, there were 8 in Deogyang-gu, 5 in Ilsandong-gu, 5 in Ilsanseo-gu, and 1 from other regions.

As of 4 p.m. on this day, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Goyang-si is 4,175, and the total number of confirmed Goyang citizens is 4,033 (3,928 domestic infections, 105 overseas infections).
