[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] An image transmission error occurred on KakaoTalk but was restored after 1 hour and 40 minutes.
On the 16th, Kakao stated on its official Twitter, "From 4:30 PM to 6:10 PM today, there was an issue with sending and receiving images on KakaoTalk. As soon as the problem was detected, an emergency inspection was conducted, and everything is now back to normal. We apologize to everyone who experienced inconvenience."
Earlier, an error occurred where photos would not send even after pressing the photo send button on KakaoTalk, prompting an emergency inspection.
This is not the first time KakaoTalk has experienced errors. On Children's Day, May 5th, an error lasted for over two hours. Since it happened late at night, many users did not realize it was an error and ended up deleting and reinstalling KakaoTalk, losing all their data.
Additionally, there were two outages in March last year, and errors also occurred in July and November of the same year, causing significant inconvenience to users.
