[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyun-joo] Regarding the remarks that emerged during the Democratic Party's presidential primary process, where candidate Lee Jae-myung was somewhat defended, leading to the term "Jaemi Yeondae (Lee Jae-myung - Chu Mi-ae)," presidential candidate Chu Mi-ae responded by saying it is "an attempt by those trying to create a frame to target the leading candidate."

On the afternoon of the 12th, Chu appeared on Yonhap News TV's 'News 1st Street' and stated, "The chronic problem of the Democratic Party is repeated division, which prevents the party from being central and from preparing for elections," adding, "No candidate can have a greater sense of crisis than I do about losing power due to division."

When criticized for the limitations of her outreach expansion, she replied, "The frequency of prosecutorial reform and media reform has decreased, and it is being portrayed as if that is a centrist expansion, but breaking previous promises can cause distrust," adding, "Rather, only I can expand the centrist outreach with such trust."

On the same day, Chu also mentioned Yoon Seok-youl, a leading opposition presidential candidate and former Prosecutor General. In an interview with CBS's 'Kim Hyun-jung's News Show,' she criticized, "He explains his candidacy as feeling pressured due to investigations into nuclear power plants, but also says he quit because of the establishment of the Serious Crime Investigation Agency. This is inconsistent and contradictory."

She then said, "Yoon Seok-youl's enemy can only be Yoon Seok-youl himself. You might call it 'Yoon-jeok Yoon' (Yoon against Yoon)," adding, "If there is a problem with him, it is that the standards and principles he set do not apply to himself."
