According to the Gwangju Nambu Police Station on the 12th, a complaint was filed accusing cram school director Mr. A of sexually harassing female high school student Ms. B.
Mr. A is suspected of touching parts of Ms. B's body when she came to the cram school on the 10th to check her exam results and was alone with him in the director's office.
Ms. B reportedly received counseling at the Sunflower Center and visited the police station with her parents.
The Sunflower Center is a support system that provides medical diagnosis, evaluation, treatment, and legal assistance services for children and adolescents under 19 years old who have suffered sexual violence, as well as intellectually disabled individuals. It also offers integrated counseling services aimed at strengthening family functions.
Mr. A is also known to have posted messages on social media denying the allegations themselves.
The police plan to summon Mr. A soon to investigate the exact circumstances of the incident.
