Jinju City Reopens Call for Art Content from Local Cultural Artists and Community Artists

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju City, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 12th that it will reopen applications for cultural and artistic content projects targeting local cultural artists and lifestyle culture practitioners for 7 projects in 4 fields until the 15th.

The city and the City Cultural City Support Center are promoting a re-application for the remaining budget of the '2021 Regional Cultural and Artistic Planning Contest Project,' announced last May, to support the activities of cultural artists (including groups) and encourage citizens' cultural and artistic activities by discovering various customized cultural contents utilizing local cultural resources.

This re-application covers 7 projects in 4 fields, with a remaining budget of 269 million KRW to be supported. The city will accept applications until the 15th, conduct the selection process in July, and implement the projects from August to December.

The city prepared contest projects in various genres to discover regional-centered cultural contents and revitalize lifestyle culture clubs based on the autonomy and diversity of cultural artists (including groups) and lifestyle culture clubs active in the region, enabling anyone to create and enjoy culture in daily life.

This contest reopens applications for two projects to discover regional cultural contents: support for young artists' creative activities and support for first-time lifetime creative activities, as well as support for producing content on Jinju's old roads.

Additionally, to discover online content, two projects will be supported: video content production support under the theme "People Opening Jinju's Dawn" and online cultural bead threading.

Furthermore, to revitalize lifestyle culture and cultural play in daily life, three projects will be supported: support for lifestyle culture club activities, Jangmadang Jjomaenan Jewelry Box, and Jjomaenan Cultural Store.

More detailed information about this project can be found on the Jinju City website and the Jinju City Cultural City Support Center website.
