Yeonggwang-gun Conducts 'Sanitation Facility Disinfection Inspection' Until the 16th

[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] Jeollanam-do Yeonggwang-gun (Governor Kim Junsung) announced on the 12th that it will conduct quarantine inspections on hygiene businesses vulnerable to infection through a special quarantine inspection team until the 16th, in response to the recent continuous spread of COVID-19 and the entry into the 4th wave.

The special quarantine inspection team has been operating since April last year and consists of 18 members from the Sports Industry Division of the county, working in pairs to guide and inspect key quarantine rules and conduct social distancing campaign activities.

This special inspection targets about 500 hygiene businesses in the area, including restaurants, cafes, entertainment facilities, bathhouses, beauty salons, and lodging businesses.

The inspection items include ▲ compliance with user number restrictions ▲ proper mask wearing ▲ operator entry logs (electronic or handwritten), temperature checks, and disposal after 4 weeks ▲ designation and operation of quarantine managers ▲ implementation of disinfection and ventilation, and other industry-specific quarantine rule compliance.

Through this inspection, the county plans to listen to the difficulties of business owners due to the prolonged COVID-19 situation, find improvements, and provide on-site guidance or administrative measures for insufficient businesses to create a better quarantine environment.

A county official said, "With the recent consecutive daily confirmed cases surpassing 1,000 and new COVID-19 cases occurring in the region, the county cannot be complacent," adding, "We will do our best to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infections in the region through this inspection activity and to restore ordinary daily life as soon as possible."

He added, "We ask all residents to comply with personal quarantine rules, refrain from unnecessary appointments and outings, and minimize travel including to the metropolitan area and other regions."
