1:1 Admission Consulting for 2022 Academic Year Early Admission Preparation Held Online on August 6-7...Providing Customized Admission Information Including University Entrance Outlook and Admission Procedures to 120 Examinees and Parents
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dongjak-gu (Mayor Changwoo Lee) is recruiting participants for the online non-face-to-face ‘2022 Academic Year Early Admission Customized 1:1 College Entrance Consulting’.
This consulting is designed to help students plan their early admission strategies by providing customized admission information free of charge to examinees and parents in preparation for the early admission process starting in September.
The target participants are 120 college entrance examinees and parents residing in Dongjak-gu, and recruitment is on a first-come, first-served basis through the district office website until the 21st of this month. If the number of applicants exceeds the quota, waiting numbers will be assigned, and the final selection results will be individually notified on the 27th.
To accommodate many examinees, consultation days are scheduled on weekdays and weekends. On August 6 at 6 PM and August 7 at 10 AM, about 10 current teachers from the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education’s University Admission Guidance Team will conduct 1:1 customized admission strategy consultations.
The consulting will be conducted in real-time online (video) to prevent COVID-19 infection, and telephone consultations will be provided only for participants who have difficulty with online consultations.
The consultation will last about 40 minutes per person based on school records and individually prepared consultation basic materials, covering ▲ early admission by school ▲ strategies for applying to desired universities.
Last year, the district held 1:1 online college entrance consultations for the 2021 academic year, providing customized early and regular admission strategies to a total of 164 examinees and parents, achieving a high satisfaction rate of 94%.
For more details, please contact the Dongjak-gu Education Policy Division.
Jongrok Jeong, head of the Education Policy Division, said, “We will do our best to support examinees so that they can prepare for the changing educational environment amid the COVID-19 situation,” and added, “We hope many examinees and parents will participate.”
Additionally, since April, the district has been conducting monthly online ‘1:1 Career and College Admission Counseling’ to help not only third-year high school students but also first- and second-year students decide and prepare their career paths in advance.
