Including the German Supercup... Available through tvN, XtvN, and TVING
CJ ENM will broadcast the German Bundesliga. They have secured exclusive domestic broadcasting rights for three years starting from the 2021-22 season. The matches will be available through tvN, XtvN, and TVING.
On the 9th, CJ ENM announced that they recently signed a three-year exclusive domestic broadcasting contract with Bundesliga International, a subsidiary of DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga. The broadcasting rights include league matches as well as the German Super Cup and promotion/relegation playoff matches. In addition to live broadcasts, they plan to produce supplementary content such as highlight videos and the latest news.
Robert Klein, CEO of Bundesliga International, stated, "From Cha Bum-kun to Jung Woo-young, Korean players have always played a significant role in Bundesliga history," adding, "We hope to get closer to Korean fans and ultimately see Korean players achieve even greater results."
Last season, nine Korean players competed in the Bundesliga, including Hwang Hee-chan (RB Leipzig) and Jung Woo-young (SC Freiburg), which is more than in other European leagues. CJ ENM said, "The Bundesliga is a cradle for Asian players," noting that "Asian players have actually scored 285 goals over the past decade."
