Pilot Operation in 3 Areas: First Consulting Meeting with Resident Autonomy Committee Participation
Customized Consulting 10 Times Each Until November
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 8th that it conducted the first round of resident autonomy council operation support consulting at each township office and resident autonomy center for the resident autonomy committee members of the three townships (Macheon, Sudong, Seosang) that piloted the resident autonomy council operation in 2021.
The resident autonomy council operation support consulting will start from this day and continue until November, with a total of 30 sessions held 10 times in each of the three townships. The plan is to enhance execution by promoting customized consulting that considers the characteristics of each resident autonomy council.
Lee Soo-kyung, director of the Gyeongnam Social Value Support Center, who is conducting this consulting, stated, “Through the consulting, we will improve the autonomy capabilities of the resident autonomy committee members and support them to broadly understand resident autonomy so that they can engage in proactive autonomous activities in their communities.”
A resident autonomy committee member from Seosang-myeon who participated in the consulting on this day expressed expectations, saying, “I am glad to participate in creating the regulations needed for our autonomy council with our own hands and directly discovering projects necessary for our region to make it a better village.”
Meanwhile, from the second session onward, consulting will be conducted in a customized manner by visiting the desired time and place of each autonomy council, considering the schedules of the committee members, to assist their convenience.
