Asia Economy Education Center Hosts 'Artificial Intelligence Model-Based Prediction Competition'

Asia Economy Education Center held a competition in early June under the theme of 'Predictive Analysis Based on Artificial Intelligence Models,' providing an opportunity to present the trainees' results and evaluate their core competencies.

The teams participating in the competition consisted of trainees from the 'Python-based Applied AI Developer Training Course.' Since last December, they have undergone education in data analysis and machine learning/deep learning, and for six weeks, they carried out practical projects alongside field experts serving as mentors. A total of five teams competed.

The projects focused on industry-convergent modeling aimed at providing technical services using AI technology based on big data. Differentiated themes were pursued by business sectors, including medical, financial, content, security, and service fields. Among them, the LogIn&Out team (members: Park Kang-in, Woo Yeon-su, Jung Hyun-joo, Jin Yong-bin, Choi Ji-hoon) won the grand prize in the security field with the project titled 'Development of AI Algorithm for Predicting Security Risk through Log Analysis.' The excellence award went to the Mohitto Gaseo Moldibeuhanjan team (members: Choi Kyu-hyung, Lee Jung-hyun, Ji Jeong-won) in the service field with the project 'Emoticon Preference Analysis Based on the EM Algorithm,' and the merit award was given to the ATM team (members: Lee Jung-woo, Kang Jin-seok, Lee Se-jae) in the financial field for their project 'Bitcoin Price Fluctuation Prediction through Twitter Sentiment Analysis.'

The grand prize-winning team received high praise for their systematic approach to log analysis, analytical skills through inference, and utilization of large-scale servers. The excellence award-winning team was commended for delivering a project result with market potential that would attract interest from advertising companies.

The LogIn&Out team commented, "We believe that the data analysis and natural language processing skills we learned during the long 900-hour training course helped us achieve good results in the project. We hope to participate in various competitions in the future and achieve even better outcomes."

Meanwhile, Asia Economy has been participating as a training institution for the "Youth Employment Academy," organized by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, for seven consecutive years. Based on operational know-how, since 2020, it has been focusing on operating training courses in big data, artificial intelligence, and fintech. Currently, it runs multiple "K-Digital Training" courses, actively attracting job seekers interested in digital new technology training.

The training courses involve mentors who are current employees of nurturing companies participating through business cooperation with Shinhan Financial Group and Shinhan Future’s Lab, with matching conducted for each team. The projects focus on commercialization in the field, aiming to provide services in each business sector. Asia Economy Education Center, currently operating core education courses for the 4th Industrial Revolution, is recruiting trainees for the 'AI Deep Learning-based Natural Language Processing Text Analyst Training Course' until July 16.
