The single confirmed case in Jinju was a family member of a confirmed case within the province, tested due to symptom onset during quarantine, and classified as case 5284.
The confirmed cases in Namhae and Yangsan, one each, were tested due to symptom onset and classified as cases 5296 and 5299 respectively.
Accordingly, the total cumulative confirmed cases in the province have increased to 5,299 (177 hospitalized, 5,104 discharged, 18 deceased).
Meanwhile, the province began the third quarter COVID-19 vaccination campaign in earnest starting from the 5th.
