[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] 11st has embarked on pioneering sales channels for social enterprises and revitalizing the social economy.
On the 2nd, 11st announced on the 4th that it signed a 'Social Enterprise Ecosystem Revitalization Business Agreement' with the Ministry of Employment and Labor, SK Group's social enterprise 'Haengboknarae', and LG HelloVision at the Gwangju Kim Dae-jung Convention Center.
While these organizations discussed synergy plans for the sustainable growth of social enterprises based on mutual cooperation, 11st decided to actively support the online sales channels of social enterprises through operating a dedicated social enterprise section and promotions.
To commemorate the agreement, 11st will hold the 'Buy Social Online Special Exhibition' until the 16th, featuring a special exhibition selling about 140 products from 32 social enterprises supported by the Korea Social Enterprise Promotion Agency. During this period, 5 coupons per ID will be issued, each offering a 30% discount (up to 20,000 KRW) applicable to the special exhibition products.
Earlier, since the 1st, 11st has opened the 'SOVAC (Social Value Connect) Market', a 'Good Shopping' dedicated section gathering various social enterprise products, supporting the activation of online sales for social enterprises.
Lee Sang-ho, CEO of 11st, said, "11st will generously support the e-commerce capabilities it possesses to revitalize the social enterprise ecosystem," adding, "Through active mutual cooperation with the partner organizations, we will actively contribute to the quantitative and qualitative growth of social enterprises."
