Honam University - Zhongxin Academy, eSports University Exchange Match Held

In this exchange match held on the Chinese server, the League of Legends team consisting of Jang Minsu, Lee Jungwon, Jung Seunghyun, Jang Cheolho, and Jung Myeongseok (all first-year students) competed in a 3-round match against the Xinhua Academy eSports team.

The match commentary by the coaching staff of the Department of eSports Industry was broadcast through a YouTube channel, observed via a Chinese server account.

Jang Cheolho (first-year), who participated in this exchange match, said, "Just holding an exchange match with a Chinese team through eSports was an opportunity to feel the charm of eSports in international cooperation blocked by COVID-19," and added, "I look forward to continuous exchange matches with Chinese players."

Honam University and Anhui Xinhua Academy signed an MOU for mutual exchange and cooperation in the eSports field on May 18, and plan to continue practical cooperation such as expanding student exchanges and regularizing Korea-China exchange matches in the future.

They also plan to expand activities such as academic seminars to explore eSports education methods and round tables with game coaching staff, and to carry out global cooperation on developing and operating standardized curricula and systematic player development systems.
