Summer Vacation Programs at 894 Youth-Related Organizations and Social Enterprises in Seoul from July to August

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] Seoul City announced on the 2nd that it will provide a variety of experience and volunteer programs operated by 894 institutions for children and adolescents during the summer vacation period.

Any child or adolescent in Seoul can always check information on experience and volunteer programs from 894 youth-related institutions through the youth information search online platform, Youth Navi.

The summer vacation experience programs open for application this time are divided into nine fields: history and society, arts and culture, ecology and environment, career and job paths, IT and science, international, volunteer work, arts and culture, sports, youth and parent counseling, and are conducted in various ways.

This summer vacation, many programs are prepared to develop and engage in capabilities to solve socially contentious issues. Programs such as 'Zero Waste', 'Bo.On.Tong', an alternative activity for happy families and healthy communication, the animal abuse prevention campaign 'Pet Pride Contest Meongnyaho!', and 'AhaXWitty Youth JajuZOOM' to cultivate proper sexual ethics in daily life are ready.

On Youth Navi, users can find desired programs through customized searches by age, field, and region. In addition, video content from experts on education and career is also available, so interested youth can freely watch them.

Ko Seok-young, Director of Youth Policy at Seoul City, said, “We are facing the second summer vacation amid the aftermath of COVID-19. With a heavy heart, we have prepared experience activities and future career programs so that our youth can enjoy them this year,” adding, “We will make sure they have a lively summer vacation through this opportunity.”

Meanwhile, Youth Navi plans to upgrade the site in the second half of this year so that Seoul youth can efficiently enjoy career competency development programs without restrictions due to non-face-to-face education situations in the future.
