Ministry of Employment and Labor Hosts 'Social Enterprise Development' Evaluation - Grand Prize Winner
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Moon In) has been selected as the only 'Social Economy Talent Nurturing Friendly City' in the region.
On the 1st, Buk-gu announced that it was the only local government in Gwangju and Jeonnam to receive the highest award in the 'Excellent Institution for Social Enterprise Promotion' evaluation conducted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor targeting 243 local governments nationwide.
The evaluation was conducted to share various best practices and create an atmosphere for revitalizing community-based social enterprises.
Buk-gu was recognized for its achievements in implementing practical educational activities through infrastructure such as youth centers and social economy community centers, as well as youth social economy schools and family experience classes.
It was also evaluated for contributing to job creation linked to social economy enterprise financial support projects and strengthening the self-reliance foundation of social economy enterprises through priority purchase disclosure systems and joint sales outlets for social economy enterprise products to support market access.
Mayor Moon In of Buk-gu said, “The growth of social economy enterprises serves as the foundation for revitalizing the livelihood economy,” and added, “We will continuously create a sustainable social economy environment by utilizing various social economy infrastructures, such as the planned Social Economy Hub Center.”
