Support of Golden Time Survival Supplies to 850 Households Including Elderly Living Alone, Grandparent-Grandchild Families, and Single-Parent Families... Composed of 7 Items Such as Rescue Towels, Emergency Thermal Blankets, and Multipurpose Flashlights
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Seon-gap) is providing 'survival supplies' to residents vulnerable to crisis response.
This project was established to create a safe living environment for residents by providing survival supplies that can help secure the golden time during various disasters.
The support targets 850 households, including single elderly households, grandparent-grandchild families, and single-parent families, selecting households with elderly and children who have relatively low coping abilities.
The survival supplies provided include ▲'Rescue handkerchief' that prevents inhalation of toxic gases during fire evacuation ▲'Emergency thermal blanket' that helps regulate body temperature in emergencies ▲'Multi-purpose flashlight' equipped with functions such as a cutter knife, emergency light, and glass-breaking hammer.
In addition, the kit consists of seven items highly useful in daily life, such as safety gloves, personal alarm, multi-purpose bracelet, and compression bandage.
Moreover, the survival supplies case can be used as a wall-mounted LED calendar in normal times, enhancing storage convenience and usability.
The district plans to conduct a survey on satisfaction and usage of each item among supported households by the end of this year and reflect the results in next year's project.
Mayor Kim Seon-gap said, "We have provided safety supplies that can be used diversely to ensure there are no gaps in residents' daily safety," adding, "We will continue to prepare various safety policies that residents can feel."
Additionally, the district operates the Resident Life Safety Insurance, which supports medical expenses for injuries to residents caused by various disasters and safety accidents to ensure residents' safety.
