[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH) is relaxing the eligibility criteria for vacant units in existing purchased rental housing to expand the beneficiary groups of housing welfare and is conducting a rolling recruitment of tenants.
The purchased rental housing project involves purchasing multi-family houses, etc., renovating them, and renting them out at about 30% of the market rent to provide affordable housing for low-income residents.
The initial contract period is 2 years, and residents can live for up to 20 years if renewal conditions are met.
The rolling recruitment includes a total of 32 households located in eight areas within the province, including Gimpo, Anseong, and Pyeongtaek. The announcement is integrated including the remaining units from previous rolling recruitments, and applications can be submitted even before the reception date.
Eligibility has been relaxed to households without housing whose monthly average income is 100% or less of the previous year's average monthly income of urban workers per household (previously 70% or less).
Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis at the purchased rental centers by region starting from the 12th of next month. Since applications for each housing unit may close in real-time, prior confirmation before visiting is necessary.
