Two Men Fined for 'Trespassing' After Arms Suddenly Appear Through Window of 20s Woman's Home

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Ju Cheol-in] The court has fined two men who forcibly opened the window of a house where a woman in her 20s was living late at night.

On the 25th, Park Seong-jun, Chief Judge of Criminal Division 8 at Daegu District Court, announced that he sentenced A (31) and another person, who were indicted for opening the window of a house where a woman in her 20s lived (joint residential intrusion), to fines of 2 million won each.

A and the others were brought to trial on charges of putting their hands inside the security bars on the window of B (21)'s house in Buk-gu, Daegu, at around 3:37 a.m. on June 20 last year, opening the insect screen and then the window, causing the victim to feel threatened.

After opening the insect screen, they noticed that the closed-circuit television (CCTV) installed in the building was filming them, so they turned the CCTV in another direction and continued the crime.

Chief Judge Park said, "Although the guilt is not light, as the victim suffered considerable psychological shock and developed anxiety in carrying out daily life, we considered that they deeply repented their wrongdoing and reached a settlement with the victim."
