[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Miryang City in Gyeongnam announced on the 25th that it held an ‘MBTI Talk Concert,’ where young people explore themselves through MBTI (personality type test) and engage in conversations based on the test results.

The MBTI test is a self-report questionnaire that classifies individuals into 16 psychological types. Beyond the test itself, it has become a cultural trend among young people, being used as material for entertainment programs and spawning related products.

About 100 participants, including young people who took the test, attended this event, which featured various content centered on the youth who participated, such as statistics on MBTI types of Miryang youth, MBTI within Miryang, and sincere talks of youth, receiving great responses.

In particular, during the first part of the event, Mayor Park Il-ho participated and answered questions from young people according to their types. He comforted the youth over difficulties related to jobs, startups, tourism, and culture, and showed Miryang City’s commitment along with advice for a better future for the youth.

Mayor Park said, “Israel has the Hutzpah (bold and challenging) spirit. This is the fundamental spirit behind the creative economy held by the Israeli people.” He added, “It is difficult to succeed immediately in a rapidly changing world, but by providing consulting on failure factors, the city will work together so that Miryang youth do not fear failure and can practice the Hutzpah spirit.”
