According to local foreign media on the 23rd (local time), 28-year-old Rebecca McCurdy was fatally bitten by a dangerous pit bull named Nemari at a residence in Skiatook, Oklahoma, four days ago.

An eyewitness said, "Nemari, the pit bull, came out of the pen and attacked the woman," adding, "Even when we tried to separate them by hitting with sticks, the attack did not stop."

The police who arrived after the report also swung sticks, but when it was ineffective, they fired their guns, killing one pit bull attacking McCurdy and shooting another, which stopped the dogs' attack.

A U.S. civic group opposing pit bull breeding criticized the incident, stating that 31 people lost their lives due to pit bull attacks from January to September last year alone.
