[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] Lotte Insurance announced on the 24th that it will launch an emergency car dispatch service based on the KakaoTalk 'chatbot'.


The service is available by searching for 'Lotte Insurance AlimTalk' in the KakaoTalk search bar and adding the channel. For the emergency dispatch service, select the car insurance emergency dispatch option from the shortcut menu. Lotte Insurance has been utilizing chatbot services for customer center tasks such as managing insurance policies, accident reporting, insurance claim applications, and loan applications/repayments. The service can be used after simple authentication.


Lotte Insurance plans to accelerate digital transformation starting with the KakaoTalk chatbot service. In February, it reorganized its existing Digital Group into the DT Group, strengthening company-wide support for artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and more.


A Lotte Insurance official said, "Our ultimate goal is to achieve innovation that can compete with big tech companies by fully transitioning the entire insurance process to digital," adding, "We will strive to innovate customer service by utilizing KakaoTalk chatbots and other tools."
