"Delivery Within a Day After Production" Olgahol Food Launches 'Freshly Harvested Fruits'

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] Pulmuone affiliate Fresh Market Orga Whole Foods announced on the 24th that it has launched five types of ‘freshly harvested fruits’ delivered to customers within one day after production.

The five types of ‘freshly harvested fruits’ being launched this time are products certified for sustainability such as GAP, low carbon, and Orga Meister certification, delivering safe food from all over the country to customers’ tables within one day of harvest.

The ‘freshly harvested Apple Cherry’ is a domestically produced cherry from Gyeongju, Gyeongbuk, cultivated as the high-sugar-content Jwaddeunggeum variety, known for its firm flesh and rich sweet taste. It received GAP certification, which is granted to excellent agricultural products safely managed from production to post-harvest handling and distribution stages.

The ‘freshly harvested low-carbon chamoe’ was cultivated using low-carbon certified farming methods that reduce carbon emissions during production. Grown in Seongju, Gyeongbuk, the optimal region for chamoe cultivation, it guarantees sweetness and has been verified for safety through residual pesticide inspections.

The ‘freshly harvested Jukhyang strawberry’ is a high-quality strawberry grown in Damyang, Jeonnam, with decades of accumulated pesticide-free farming know-how in an area abundant in sunlight. Only fully ripened strawberries are selectively harvested at dawn to maintain freshness, boasting a firm texture, sweet taste, and rich aroma.

The ‘freshly harvested snack tomato’ is cultivated using safe and environmentally friendly sustainable farming methods and has received strict global GAP certification. It has a higher sugar content than regular cherry tomatoes, and its stems naturally fall off at harvest, making washing and consumption convenient.

The ‘freshly harvested Dangjin blueberry’ is cultivated by Kim Seong-wook, an Orga organic Meister recognized as a master with 11 years of experience in organic farming, ensuring quality. Grown sustainably using organic methods in Dangjin, Chungnam, it can be consumed with confidence.

Orga Whole Foods is expanding its ultra-fresh product category due to the recent increase in demand for home-cooked meals and lifestyle changes focused on health, where consumers are increasingly meticulous about the production date, domestic origin, and eco-friendly certification of fresh foods. In line with these consumer trends, Orga is increasing ultra-fresh products to provide customers with the best freshness and eco-friendly value experience in the rapidly growing fresh food market.

Orga has expanded its direct-from-farm products, previously focused on fruits and vegetables, to livestock and seafood, broadening customers’ purchasing options. Since launching the ‘ASC-certified Norwegian fresh salmon’ delivered by air within 24 hours in January last year, Orga has introduced ‘five types of antibiotic-free pork’ delivered within four days after slaughter, and ‘freshly pressed sesame oil and perilla oil’ delivered within one day after extraction. In particular, Orga’s ultra-fresh products across various categories such as seafood, livestock, fruits, and grains have gained popularity, with sales in the first half of this year increasing by 57.8% compared to the second half of last year.
