[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] The number of new COVID-19 confirmed cases in Seoul reached its highest level in 19 days.

According to Seoul City, the number of new confirmed cases reported in Seoul from midnight to 9 p.m. on the 23rd was 247, marking the highest count in 19 days since 268 cases on the 4th of this month for the same time period. This is 13 more than the 234 cases reported the previous day and 51 more than the 196 cases reported a week ago on the 16th.

As of 9 p.m. on that day, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in Seoul stood at 48,443.
