Imsil-gun Dementia Relief Center Conducts Computerized Cognitive Training Program

[Imsil=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] The Dementia Safety Center in Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk, announced on the 23rd that it will start conducting a computerized cognitive training system program for dementia patients and individuals with cognitive decline from this month.

This program uses personal tablet PCs to improve cognitive abilities such as memory, orientation, and categorization to prevent dementia, and it will be operated once a week for a total of 12 sessions.

The computerized cognitive training program stimulates the brain by providing real-time access to various content such as physical relaxation exercises, cognitive training, reminiscence training, and daily living skills through tablet PCs, contributing to the prevention of dementia progression and symptom alleviation.

Initially, participants had difficulty logging in as their fingers did not move as they expected, but gradually they became accustomed to the operation and showed enthusiasm for the program.

County Governor Shim Min said, “We will do our best to strengthen the cognitive functions of the elderly by actively utilizing professional programs and continuously operating various programs that the elderly can participate in with interest.”
