Gwangju Shinsegae Takes Initiative to Support Domestic Small and Medium Fashion Companies

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Gwangju Shinsegae has stepped up to help domestic small and medium-sized fashion companies struggling to clear their inventory.


Gwangju Shinsegae Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Dong-hoon) will hold the ‘Korea Fashion Market Season 3’ from the 25th of this month to the 1st of next month, offering discounts of up to 50%.


This event is part of the ‘Korea Together Sale’ organized by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Fashion Industry Association, aimed at revitalizing the economy weakened by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.


The event, held at the event hall on the first floor of the main building of Gwangju Shinsegae, features a total of 12 brands including Bobeu, Tomboy, Lab, Bonispax, DeMeyer, and Rope Nine.


The summer regular sale will also run from the 24th of this month to the 11th of next month alongside the Korea Together Sale.


This summer regular sale offers up to 30% discounts on golf and swimwear brands in preparation for the peak vacation season, along with a variety of leisure products.


During the event period from the 25th to the 1st of next month, customers who purchase 2,000,000 / 3,000,000 / 5,000,000 / 10,000,000 KRW or more from a single brand in the fashion category using Shinsegae affiliated cards (Citi, Samsung, Shinhan, Shinhan The Bun) will receive a 5% Shinsegae gift certificate.


Also, during the same period, customers who purchase 300,000 / 600,000 / 1,000,000 KRW or more using the Shinsegae Hana Card (excluding food, 5% recognized for electronics) will receive a 5% Shinsegae gift certificate.


CEO Lee Dong-hoon said, “We hope to contribute even a little to the inventory clearance and market expansion of domestic fashion brands,” adding, “We have prepared various products and discount benefits so that customers preparing for summer vacations can purchase good products at reasonable prices.”
